Prerequisites, Requirements and Course Format

Prerequisites:

  • You should have played guitar for at least 12 months.
  • You're at least 18 years old.
  • You have had some experience with playing scales. If you've never played a scale in your life then you aren't yet ready for this course.
  • You are able to read tablature (TAB).
  • You have some very rudimentary computer skills such as knowing how to download and open files.

Requirements:

  • You need to have access to a computer and internet access.
  • You need a fairly decent internet connection and plan so that you can download approximately 2GB of data a week.
  • You will need the ability to open PDF files on your computer. You probably already can, but if you can't you will need to download the free program Adobe Reader.
  • You will need the ability to play MP4 videos on your computer. [Side Note: Chances are that already have suitable software on your computer that will do this. E.g. Windows Media Player or QuickTime Player].
  • Although it's not absolutely essential, it would be helpful if you access to a printer so that you can print out the handouts you download.

Course Format:

I need to make it 100% clear that this is an online course. It's not a physical product such as a book or DVD. The entire course content is delivered online in the form of...

  • Webpages.
  • Downloadable handouts in PDF format.
  • Downloadable videos in MP4 format.
  • Downloadble audio files in mp3 format.

Don't panic if you're not familar with all this technical gobbledegook. It is highly likely that your computer will already be able to work with all the formats I've just mentioned.
